Know How BTS Saved Millions of Lives

If you are an ARMY, you would know how the legendary septet saved your life. Each ARMY has a story to tell. Each ARMY will tell you that BTS came into their lives at the time that they needed them most.

Indeed, to some people, they view the fandom as ‘fanatical followers” who only love the boys because they are cute, or because they dance and sing so well,

That is not the primary reason why ARMYs are so loyal to BTS. Numerous K-pop groups have come and gone. They have danced and sang perfectly as well. However, they didn’t acquire a huge and loyal fanbase like the ARMY.

The reason is deeper than being a screaming teen-girl fan. ARMYs are diverse in age, race, gender, and religion. Yet, they come together as one for BTS. I am going 65, myself and I love the messages that these 7 boys are sending out to the world.

Of course, they’re stunningly good-looking, they are outstanding performers, but those are all icings on the cake.

What separates them from all the other groups, whether in South Korea or internationally is their profound and inspiring messages.

Through these encouraging messages, they have saved millions of lives around the globe.

People who were depressed, and ready to give up were encouraged to hold on and live their lives to the fullest.

Many people who were in the brink of giving up were given the inspiring message that no matter who they are, they deserve to live, to be loved and to love; that they should foremost love themselves, so that they can give true and sincere love to others.

Examples of BTS’ lyrics that have saved people’s lives are:

These are English subtitles done by dedicated translators.

1. “In the middle of the road, in the moment you want to give up,
Shout out even louder, So what?”

These lyrics come from the song “So What”. It appears to be just one happy song if you do not know the lyrics’ translation. But this bop has a deeper meaning that many ARMYs retreat to, when they feel depressed.

Here’s a live rendition of the song:

2. “Loving myself might be harder
Than loving someone else
Let’s admit it
The standards I made are more strict for myself
The thick tree rings in your life
It’s part of you, it’s you
Now let’s forgive ourselves
Our lives are long, trust yourself when in a maze
When winter passes, spring always comes”

3. “You know it all
You’re my best friend
The morning will come again
No darkness, no season is eternal.”

This is a verse from the BTS song “Spring Day”. ARMY labeled this song “The Queen” of all BTS songs because it has charted at the biggest music chart of South Korea for more than three years now – without leaving the charts for a single week.

This song had brought sunshine for many people who were experiencing sorrow and pain. It gave them hope that morning will always come after the gloomy darkness.

4. “Who says a dream must be something grand?
Just become anybody
We deserve a life
Whatever, big or small, you are you after all.”

These lyrics are from the song “Paradise”. BTS tells discouraged people not to get discouraged despite poor beginnings, and that what’s important is to acknowledge whatever achievements you were able to accomplish – whether it be big or small.

Millions of people have learned to accept what they can accomplish no matter how small or big it is. Not many people do this. So, BTS reminded people that they should be proud with their successes and failures, as these are all manifestations of themselves.

These wonderful lyrics are from the song “Epiphany” from BTS album “Love Yourself: Answer”
Millions of ARMYs have learned to love themselves because of this song, and so many BTS songs that sing about self-acceptance and self-love.

It will give you goose bumps when you hear it in a stadium where 60,000 people sing in English and Korean, along with vocalist Kim Seokjin in singing this phenomenal song.
