X Factor Philippines’ Shocking Elimination: Why Jeric Medina Got the Lowest Votes

MANILA, Philippines – Why did Jeric Medina, one of the most talented singers on X Factor Philippines, receive the lowest votes on the recently concluded X Factor Results Show last September 23?

Jeric Medina has one of the most amazing voices on the X Factor Philippines reality TV show, so when he was eliminated, fans were in shock. This was the same reaction when the super-talented  AKA JAM group was eliminated.

Every time Jeric sang, fans screamed their admiration for this mild-mannered and soft spoken, dashing young man.

Jeric Medina has also a sizable number of followers on his Twitter and Facebook accounts, so it is not that he has less fans. One could speculate that perhaps some of his fans forgot to vote, and were confident that many have already voted for their X Factor Idol.

Look at Daddy’s Home, their trip to the Bottom 2 has made fans aware that they have to put in more effort in voting for their favorite.

Jeric has never been at the Bottom 2, so it was a complete surprise when he was eliminated because he received the lowest votes last September 23, 2012.

Winner or not, Jeric Medina has already carved a name for himself in the music industry, and he will surely go places.

To the last Top 4 X Factor Philippines contestants, KZ Tandingan, Gabriel Maturan, Allen Sta. Maria, and Daddy’s Home, good luck. May the best singer/s win/s.

  1. Honestly, in competitions like these, judges are there not only to ‘mentor’ but also to form an equilibrium between voting and reality. Need I remind everyone of the Jessica Sanchez fiasco in American Idol?! 1st time in the bottom 2 as compared to 3x, I think the deadlock was unfortunate and not needed. Jeric SHOULD have been saved by the judges. That was a no brainer. Judges got personal and that’s NOT the objective of their roles. It was time for Daddy’s home to actually go home and for Jeric to stay.

I hope if Gary V. and Charice repeat as judges for season 2… the first lesson they should learn is to leave personal feelings behind, look at the bigger picture and keep in mind the objective of the show — which is to find THE X FACTOR CONTESTANT for the Filipinos and not for them.
