It is interesting to note that there are lots of hits coming from American Idol alumni at the Billboard Charts.

Kelly Clarkson, the winner of season 1, tops the list with 73 songs. Her “Breakaway” album made history by remaining at the Top 20 of The Billboard 200 for 52 consecutive weeks.
Some of the American Idols who made it to the list are:
Carrie Underwood with 62 hits, Chris Daughtry with 38, Fantasia with 31, Ruben Studdard with 16, Jennifer Hudson with 15, Mandisa with 15, Clay Aiken with 12, Adam Lambert with 9, David Cook with 8, Kimberley Locke with 8 and Scotty McCreery with 7.
From among the American Idol season 11 finalists, only winner Phillip Phillips has made it to the top of Billboard charts, with his coronation song, “Home.” Phillip also topped the iTune sales among season 11’s alumni.
Jessica Sanchez and the rest of the Top 10 American Idols are busy rehearsing for their LIVE tour, which will end in Manila on September 21, 2012 reportedly. The auditions for American Idol season 12 are on-going, as well.
