Dolphy, Rodolfo Vera Quizon Sr., was finally laid to rest in Taguig at the Heritage Memorial Park, last Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 3 p.m. and his loved ones did not bid goodbye, but instead wished him a “happy trip” and a “till we meet again” wish.

Eat Bulaga’s tribute to Dolphy featured the King of Comedy singing with Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon. Eat Bulaga is the longest local noontime TV variety show with almost 10,000 episodes, and is on its 33rd year, this 2012. In 2005, Eat Bulaga also won the Asian Television Awards in Singapore.

MANILA, Philippines - Gary Valenciano, Gary V to his fans, sang for Dolphy during the latter’s necrological service at ABS-CBN. “Salamat, Tito Dolphy, Pagsaludo sa Hari ng Komedya” (Thank you, Uncle Dolphy, a Salute to the King of Comedy) was also a tribute to the comedy superstar that Filipinos have loved throughout all the years.

American Idol 2012 winner, Phillip Phillips, charms Minnesota with his performance of “Nice and Slow.” The soft-spoken, blue-eyed singer sang also “Volcano” with runner-up Jessica Sanchez.
