MANILA, Philippines – Nova Villa, Dolphy’s co-star in the Philippines TV comedy series, “Home Along Da Riles” had made everyone light-hearted by her memorable statements during Dolphy’s necrological service.

Nova Villa starred with Dolphy’s son Vandolph, Claudine Baretto, Bernardo Bernardo and Gio in “Home Along Da Riles.”
This popular TV comedrama had made every Filipino’s life more joyful despite poverty and hardships. It was a comedy-series of how an ordinary family coped and triumphed against the travails of daily living.
Nova Villa played Corazon Madamba in the series, while Dolphy played Kevin Cosme.
Nova Villa stated in an interview by local news that what she admired most about the comedy king was his humility amidst his humungous success as a movie star. During Dolphy’s necrological service, Nova Villa said:
“He is the people’s artist, he is ours.”
“I will not say goodbye to Tito Dolphs. Goodbye is painful. I will say “Happy trip!”
The remains of the “King of Comedy” is at the ABS-CBN’s Dolphy Theater, where the public was allowed to see Kevin Cosme for the last time, starting June 11, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Dolphy, 83, died on Tuesday night, July 10, 2012 due to COPD.
