MANILA, Philippines – X Factor Philippines’ Daddy’s Home and AKA JAM were nominated for the “Best Performance by a New Group Recording Artist” for the 26th Awit Awards. They have succeeded in pursuing their singing careers even after the X Factor contest.
The two talented groups, indeed, deserve the recognition because of their enormous talent and passion about their craft. Daddy’s Home is composed of all daddies, while AKA JAM is an all-female group, composed of single ladies.
Mr. Pure Energy, Gary Valenciano, also, was nominated for Best Performance by a Male Recording Artist & Best Ballad Recording. Who could perform splendidly a ballad or a pop song, other than Gary V? The outstanding performer could sing even the phonebook.
It is great to note that Gary V has mentored the two groups, Daddy’s Home and AKA JAM, during the X Factor PH, where the two groups won 2nd runner-up and 4th placer respectively. Since then, Gary V supported the two groups, including TAKEOFF, which was the 5th finalist of the singing competition.
Gary V has recently celebrated his 30 years in the entertainment industry, proving to everyone that he is one of the icons in showbiz. Together with, Martin Nievera, they have graced the celebration of another showbiz bigwig, Comedian-Host German Moreno, who celebrated his 50 years in the entertainment industry, recently. It was a star-studded affair attended by almost everyone who’s who in showbiz.
