Jimin of BTS embarked on his solo album last month and the music world witnessed unprecedented and record-breaking achievements Jimin has done as a solo artist.
However, Jimin, as humble as he is, still refers to BTS – his group – as one of his inspirations. Below are some of the record-breaking achievements to date of Jimin’s solo album and singles, Like Crazy and Set Me Free pt 2.

U.S. Billboard Charts
1. US Billboard Hot 100 Chart
Like Crazy
For the first time in history since 1958, a Korean soloist has achieved a #1 debut on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart. Like Crazy debuted at #1 on the chart surpassing other well-known American and famous artists in the world.
Only 66 songs out of the 1,148 songs debuted at #1 and it is the first -ever- for a South Korean or Asian soloist to debut at #1 in the chart’s history. It is such a record-breaking feat that no one has ever accomplished in Asia in the US Hot 100 charts. Jimin is the 1st BTS member to achieve this phenomenal record.
Jimin’s group also had previous 6 songs debuting at #1 on the Hot 100 charts:
Dynamite, Life Goes On, Butter, Permission to Dance, My Universe (w/ Coldplay), and Savage Love (w/ Jawsh 685 x Jason Derulo). So, all in all (solo + group), Jimin has a total of 7 songs (with his group and solo) debuting at #1 on the Hot 100 Chart.
Set Me Free pt. 2
Set Me Free pt. 2 also debuted at #30 on the US Billboard’s Hot 100 songs.
In the following week, Billboard reportedly cut the sales of Like Crazy but the song still ranked at #45 on the Hot 100 Chart, showing the preferences of worldwide listeners to the song.
On week 4, Like Crazy by Jimin remained on Billboard’s Hot 200 chart at #85, despite the reported action of Billboard on cutting down the song’s sales.
2. US Billboard Artist 100
Jimin is also the first South Korean or Asian soloist to rank #1 on the Billboard Artists 100. He is the first Asian soloist to achieve this amazing honor.
In the 4th week, Jimin still ranks #14 on the US Billboard Artist 100. This record makes Jimin the longest Asian act to spend 4 straight weeks this year on the chart.
Jimin is the first and only Korean soloist to ever achieve #1 in the Chart’s history. He remained at #11.
On week 4, Jimin still remained on the Artist 100 chart at #31.
3. US Billboard Global 200

Like Crazy remained in the top 10 of the charts at #3 in its second week. BB then reportedly, did not consider 90% of the single’s sales when ranking the song, but Like Crazy was still ranked strongly at #16.
On week 4, Like Crazy maintained its popularity even in the U.S. by raking at #25.
4. US Billboard 200 Excl. US
Like Crazy by Jimin still remained in the top 10 of the charts in its second week at #4
On week 4, Like Crazy still charted at #17 on the chart, establishing Jimin as one of the powerhouses of Korean soloists.
5. Billboard’s World Albums Chart
FACE by Jimin broke another record by becoming the longest-charting #1 album by a Korean soloist in the history of Billboard’s World Albums Chart. FACE broke the tie with RM’s Indigo (3 weeks)
6. USA Daily Viral Songs Chart
On the 6th day (April 22, 2023), Like Crazy ranked at #22, and Like Crazy (English Version) ranked at #41.
7. iTunes – #1 in 101 countries upon release.

Jimin’s Like Crazy debuted at #8 and remained at the top 20 at #16 for the second week. Meanwhile, Set Me Free Pt. 2 debuted a #30, and Vibe at #96.
Like Crazy also spent 2 weeks at #1 on the UK Official Singles Downloads Chart.
On April 8, 2023, the English version of Like Crazy was added to the Hot Hits UK playlist at #51
Like Crazy has ranked #1 for two consecutive weeks on the UK Official Download Chart.
UK Amazon Music Playlist added Like Crazy (English Version) to its The Fresh 50 playlist at #7.
9. UK Big Top 40 Chart
Like Crazy debuted at #4; Set Me Free Pt. 2 at #4 and in week 3 Like Crazy ranked higher at #3, and stayed there for the third week. The songs are Jimin’s highest-charting songs on the chart.
Previously, Jimin’s solo song charted too; Promise charted at #29, and With You (a collaboration with Ha Sang Won) charted at #32.
On March 30, Set Me Free Pt. 2 became the 2nd highest-charting Korean soloist and the 3rd Korean Act in the UK Big Top 40 Chart.

Set Me Free Pt. 2 debuted at #1 in 111 regions worldwide within 10 hours, making it the fastest song in history to achieve this feat.

15. RIAJ Japan
Jimin’s FACE album sold 250 units earning the RIAJ Platinum certification in Japan. He is the first Korean soloist in history to achieve this phenomenal feat.

Set Me Free Pt. 2 trended at #1 in the US and South Korea upon its release on March 17, 2023. The MV gained 15,518,801 views after one day and trended at #2 for music.
The MV also debuted at #6 on YouTube UK Top Songs. It rose to #3 on YouTube UK Daily Chart with more than 400,000 streams.
Set Me Free Pt. 2 has gained more than 65 million views on YouTube as of April 23, 2023 (one month after release).

FACE by Jimin breaks the record as the highest 1st-day sales by a K-pop soloist with 1,021,532 verified sales. Bandmates Suga’s D-Day is at #3 (still ongoing); Jin’s The Astronaut is at #6, and RM’s Indigo is at #8.
FACE also has the highest 1st-week sales by a soloist on Hanteo, with Suga Agust D’s – D-Day in second place.
22. Apple Music
Set Me Free Pt. 2 ranked #1 in the K-Pop genre of Apple Music UK.
On March 21, 2023, Set Me Free Pt. 2 MV was ranked #7 of the Top 10 Apple Music UK Top Music Video Chart.
23. Gaon Chart
As of April 27, FACE by Jimin has surpassed 1.6 million copies sold on the Circle Gaon Album Chart.
