American Idol season 10 winner, Scotty McCreery, and Season 4 winner, Carrie Underwood, won in the recently concluded CMT Music Awards; Scotty for  the USA Breakthrough Video of the Year for his song, “The Trouble with Girls.”

Carrie Underwood won Video of the Year for her “Good Girl” and Collaborative Video of the Year for “Remind Me,” with Brad Paisley.

American Idol season 11 finalists Colton Dixon and Skylar Laine were also presenters during the CMT Music Awards.

Season 10’s runner-up Lauren Alaina competed with Scotty McCreery for USA Breakthrough Video of the Year for her song, “Georgia Peaches.”

In the 2012 list of the 100 People of Power and Influence in Ice Hockey, Carrie Underwood is ranked 85.

She was the most nominated artist at the year for the CMT Music Awards, as well. Her album “Blown Away” ranks Top One in Country Albums.

The American Idol alumni seem to be successful in their singing careers.
