Richard Dawson, ”Family Feud” Game-Show Host Passed Away Due to Cancer

Richard Dawson,  the ”Family FeudGame-Show host passed away on June 2, 2012, due to complications caused by esophageal cancer. Richard reportedly died at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center; he was 79. This was disclosed through Facebook by his son, Gary Dawson, and reported by U.S. news sites.

He gained popularity in the TV sitcom, ”Hogan’s Heroes” as Cpl. Peter Newkirk. Richard, eventually turned game show host and panelist for ”Family Feud.”  He was well-loved by his audience.

His marriage to Diana Dors gave him two sons, Mark and Gary, and with Gretchen Johnson, a daughter, Shannon Nicole.
