Argo” is the Best Film for Performance by a Cast from Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, January 27, 2013.

The reactions moviegoers were of joy because Affleck truly deserved the awards that the film is receiving presently.

Argo” was directed by Ben Affleck. Ben Affleck and Kathryn Bigelow were “snubbed” during the nomination for the Oscars. Bigelow directed Bin Laden’s story, “Zero Dark Thirty.”

The Golden Globe, though, awarded Ben Affleck the Best Director Award, recognizing his excellent directorial job about the true story of 6 American hostages who safely returned to the U.S. through a CIA operative.

Argo” is still showing worldwide with increased box office returns abroad.  Its Asian opening was a big success, with moviegoers queuing to watch Ben Affleck playing the role of the person who had indomitable patience and courage to save the American hostages in Iran, in spite of the extreme danger they were exposed to.

Argo” also stars John Goodman, Bryan Cranston, and Alan Arkin. Their nerve-wracking escape adventure holds the audience breathless as Ben Affleck depicted the twists and turns of the story.
