MANILA, Philippines – Jerriane Templo was eliminated tonight, Sunday, August 5, 2012, from the X Factor Philippines reality show at ABS-CBN.
The show opened with the song “Call Me Maybe” from guest star Sam Milby, and the Top 12 X Factor contestants.
Afterwards, judge Gary Valenciano’s son and daughter, Paolo and Kiana, greeted their dad a happy birthday, with the song, “Sana Maulit Muli.” They sang it beautifully, just like how their dad would.
At around 10 p.m. the X Factor Philippines voting lines were officially closed, and the Top 10 contestants were called one by one.
The Top 10 X Factor Philippines contestants are A.K.A Jam, Mark, Gabriel, Daddy’s Home, Jeric, Modesto, Allen, KZ, Take-Off, and Kedebon.

The bottom 2, who were left onstage, were Jerriane Templo and Joan Da.
It seems that the viewers are now able to recognize Kedebon’s potential; there are now more positive comments online for him. When he was declared safe, Kedebon rolled on the floor of the stage happily.
The bottom 2, Jerriane Templo and Joan Da, had a showdown in front of the judges by singing their ‘save” song.
Apparently, the judges had difficulty selecting the contestant who would go home. Both of the ladies are so talented. After careful deliberation, the judges decided that the contestant who would be going home is Jerriane Templo.
The results were released after viewers’ votes came in, starting right after the X Factor performance night last Saturday, August 4, 2012, up to 10 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2012.
The Top 11 X Factor Philippines contestants who would advance to next week’s round are:
For Boys

- Gabriel Anciano Maturan
- Kedebon Colim
For Girls

- Allen Jane Sta. Maria
For Groups

The competition gets more exciting as the X Factor judges: Martin, Charice, Pilita and Gary, mentor the rest of the contestants. They also feel for their mentees, and had expressed their wish that all of the contestants would make it to the next round, which is of course impossible. There would only be one contestant left, who would receive the P4 million worth of prizes.
