Elise Testone was voted off from American Idol 2012; with Skylar Laine and Hollie Cavanagh among the bottom 3. This was announced during the American Idol Results Show April 26, 2012.

The remaining Top 5 American Idol 2012 hopefuls are Jessica Sanchez, Phillip Phillips, Joshua Ledet, Hollie Cavanagh, and Skylar Laine.

This was announced a day after the American Idol Performance Show where the idols performed a Queen selection and a personal choice.

Hollie Cavanagh and Joshua Ledet earned the much coveted standing ovation from the AI 2012 judges, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson. This is for their performance of “The Climb” and “Ready to Love” respectively.

Elise’s elimination came as no surprise because she has now and then ranked at the bottom 3 in previous American Idol results show; Elise was predicted to be going home. Colton Dixon, who had not previously belonged to the bottom 3, has been eliminated last week in his first and last time in the bottom 3.

With Elise’s elimination from American Idol Top 6, who would go next? If there are no shockers next week, then the most probable candidate would be Hollie Cavanagh, based on the frequency of her, being at the bottom 3.

  1. Finally the right one got voted off. I still can’t get it that America thought she is better than Colton and Jessica (who, without the judges’ save, would be gone now as well).
