The Comic Con 2013 in San Diego had an explosive revelation: Batman vs. Superman in a 2015 Film (or should it be Superman vs. Batman?)
Pertinent questions are: Who would get the most significant scenes? Who would portray the stronger and nobler superhero?
According to several entertainment reports on Saturday, July 20, Zack Snyder would direct a film where “The Man of Steel,” Henry Cavill, would meet Batman. It is still unclear who would be playing Bruce Wayne/Batman.
The team-up of the Batman and Superman on screen is something fans had always dreamed of. What would be more thrilling than to see your favorite DC comics’ character joining forces to combat the villains of this world?
The latest Superman flick, “The Man of Steel” did well at the Box Office, with Henry Cavill as Superman, dashing and ‘powerful’ in his new, classy suit.
Director Zack Snyder revealed at the Comic Con 2013:
“It’s official that we are going to make another Superman movie. I’ve poured through the DC universe for a way to tell this thing.”
“I’m so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created, and I can’t wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter. Let’s face it, it’s beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Super Heroes in the world.”
The two most popular super heroes in one movie is a fantastic treat for fans. It would be interesting to watch how the plot would develop. The writers, Zack Snyder and David Goyer, have their hands full in developing the story; who would get the meatier dialogues and scenes? Would they be allies or enemies?
A reasonable plot would have the two superheroes clashing against each other from the start, but in the end, they would put aside personal differences for a nobler purpose – that of saving the world.
Batman vs. Superman or Batman and Superman? This question would be answered when Comic-Con’s revelation would come to fruition in 2015.
