Next week’s theme, April 25, Wednesday, for the remaining Top 6 American Idol contestants, will be the songs of Queen; the succeeding day will feature Katy Perry, Stefano Langone of Season 10 AI and the Queen Extravaganza.

Colton Dixon, after being eliminated previously in a shocking AI results show, was reportedly excited about next week’s theme. Unluckily though, he would not be joining the Top 6 in performing with Brian May and Roger Taylor, Queen’s guitarist and drummer respectively. Colton’s supposed to be scheduled song was “The Show Must Go On.”

Queen, the British rock band, had topped the Billboard 200 with songs like “Another One Bites the Dust”,  “The Show Must Go On“, “No-One but You (Only the Good Die Young)”, Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Radio Ga Ga“, “We Will Rock You“, “We Are the Champions“, and “Too Much Love Will Kill You“, among many of their popular songs. The Top 6 American Idol contenders have lots of excellent music to choose from.

The show must go on, indeed, for the remaining Season 11 Top 6 American Idol 2012 hopefuls: Jessica Sanchez, Phillip Phillips, Joshua Ledet, Elise Testone and Hollie Cavanagh. Who will go home next week? After what happened to Colton Dixon, it would be anybody’s ball game.
