Results of the Voice Philippines Battle Rounds: Perfect Pairs and Best Choices

MANILA, Philippines – Results of The Voice of the Philippines Battle Rounds were perfect choices – if majority of the online buzz is considered to be accurate.

Last Saturday, August 3, 2013, the following were the results for the Voice of the Philippines Battle Rounds.

1. Thor Dulay won over Sir Lord Lumibao for Team Apl with their song “I’ll Make Love to You.”
2. Diday Garcellano won against Japs Mendoza for Team Lea with the song “Daylight.”
3. Yuki Ito won against Kathreen Castro for Team Sarah with the song “Baliw.”
4. Angelique Alcantara won against Nicole Parada and Deb Victa for Team Bamboo with the song “Set Fire to the Rain.”

It was a superb performance by each of the contestants, with every one giving off their best in his/her designated song. They were also evenly matched. Sir Lord and Thor were perfectly matched; they should probably do a duet in the future.

Angelique Alcantara, Deb Victa and Nicole Parada were equally explosive, as well. Coach Bamboo must have had a difficult time selecting the winner to that round.

The advisers, Journey‘s frontman, Arnel Pineda, Mr. Pure Energy, Gary Valenciano, talented artists Gerard Salonga and Joey Ayala, were seated beside the coaches: Apl.de.Ap, Sarah Geronimo, Lea Salonga,  and Bamboo Mañalac, respectively.

Last week’s the Voice PH results featured 4 contestants who would advance to the Live Shows. They are Morisette Amon for Team Sarah, Tristhan Perfecto for Team Apl, Lee Grane Maranan for Team Bamboo and Mitoy Yonting for Team Lea.

This Sunday evening, August 4, The Battle Pair for Team Apl are Cara Manglapus vs. Moira Dela Torre vs. Penelope Matanguihan.

Another is an exciting showdown between Dave, the ‘actor’ against Junji, the seasoned singer. It would be another explosive Battle Round on the Voice PH. Both performers promised they would put on a good show for the audience.

For the other Battle Pairs, check back later for updates. The results of the Voice PH Battles would also be disclosed later.

Exciting Voice PH Battles Tonight; Twitter Abuzz in Support of Favorite Contestants

MANILA, Philippines – The exciting Voice PH Battles is tonight, July 28, 2013 and Twitter is already abuzz with Twitter peeps tweeting in support of their favorite contestants.

Team Lea, Team Bamboo, Team Apl and Team Sarah are ready for the showdown. Although the segment was recorded in advance, rumors disclosed that Lea Salonga, the international stage actress who had won a Tony, had cried in one of the episodes.

It would be interesting to know why. The two women coaches, Lea and Sarah Geronimo have cried for some contestants during the Blind Auditions. Even the macho Bamboo cried for one contestant.

For the episode tonight, perhaps the tears would be because of some contestants, again. The contestants are all talented, it would certainly sad to see anyone of them go.

Fans trooped to Twitter, though, to express their thoughts. Coach Lea Salonga tweeted:

Lea Salonga ‏@MsLeaSalonga

“Battles officially begin tonight! My stomach’s gonna hurt again reliving it all.”

Lea Salonga ‏@MsLeaSalonga

So, who’s going head to head with @LeeGrane? Time to dance. #VoicePHBattles.”

As coaches, Lea Salonga has that youthful enthusiasm that is refreshing, coupled with her self-confident aura. She is an icon in the international and local music industry. She would be perfect for contestants needing a “lively” push. Apl.de.Ap is funny, straightforward and has that X factor usually desired in contestants. He would be good for multi-talented contenders.

Rock singer Bamboo Manalac, on the other hand, has startling originality and unique style. He would be excellent for singers, who would like to be different from the common mold. Sarah Geronimo has an innocent exuberance that is difficult to ignore. This may be because she is the youngest. She is also equally talented as her co-coaches on the Voice of the Philippines.

Aside from being a battle for the Voice PH contestants, it would also a battle of sorts among the four coaches and the advisers, namely, Gerard Salonga, Arnel Pineda, Joey Ayala and Gary Valenciano.

Check back later to read updates on the Voice PH Battles.
