X Factor Philippines Performance Night Week 5, Jeric Medina Sang First

On the X Factor Philippines Performance Night Week 5, Jeric Medina sang first, followed by Joan Da with “Nobela” by Join The Club.

The X Factor Philippines Performance Night show has just started but #XFactorPHLiveOPM is already trending on Twitter.  The theme for the night is OPM Hits. Surprisingly, there are many xfactorPH Twitter followers from abroad.

Daddy’s Home sang Smokey Mountain’s “Paraiso,” and their voices blended so gloriously. Daddy’s Home trended again on Twitter, with Joan following closely.

Gabriel Maturan was next with the song “Rainbow,” and Pilita said that he is the dark horse of the competition.

Takeoff followed singing APO’s “Yakap Sa Dilim”. Martin said the song was too old for Takeoff.

Allen Sta Maria the youngest of the competition earned praises from the X Factor Philippines‘ judges. Pilita and Martin could not help but exclaim “Beautiful!” for her soulful performance.

Pilita also said:

“She’s the youngest but her talent is as old as Modesto’s…”

KZ Tandingan’s performance elicited these responses from the X Factor Philippines judges.

Pilita’s comment:

“That was a beautiful, beautiful song for you,”

Gary V’s comment:

KZ, kung ano man ang naririnig mo sa amin, keep it up.”

Charice, on the other hand, explained that KZ had a sore throat, but she was able to perform splendidly anyway.

The last contestant was Kedebon Colim, which KC Concepcion observed as the “Most Controversial” among the contenders. He sang “Kailingan Kita,” a genre that was different from his usual jovial songs.

Gary V’s comment:

“I appreciate your heart, doon lang sa ibang nota medyo lumihis ka ng konti.” (You were pitchy in some parts of the song.”

Martin’s comment:

“You did great.”

The judges emphasized that it’s the heart that counts in being a good singer.
