The Top 2 American Idol 2012 hopefuls, Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips, said good things about each other during an interview by Access, after they were announced as finalists.

The interview showed how Jessica and Phillip did not consider each other as competitors but as a part of one big family – the American Idol family.

After Joshua Ledet has been eliminated, fans trooped to Facebook and Twitter to express their sentiments. The fact remains that Phillip and Jessica are worthy for being in the Top 2 Grand Finale of American Idol 2012.

Nigel Lythgoe has revealed the songs that Jessica and Phillip will sing on May 22. After the performances, a new American Idol will be chosen by America. Who would be the next American Idol?
