MANILA, Philippines – The spotlight is on “Mommy” Eva de los Santos who was one of the contestants who has made it to the Live Shows of The Voice of the Philippines. She would be competing on August 25 at Resorts World, Manila. What is exceptional about Mommy Eva, as everyone calls her, is her undying passion for singing even at her golden age. She is 51.

Her success shows that no one is ever too old to pursue her dreams.  International Filipino rock star, Arnel Pineda, had his dream fulfilled too at age of 40. Incidentally, Arnel is the adviser for Team Apl.

Mommy Eva competed against Michaellen Temporada with the song “I Just Can’t Stop Lovin’ You” by Michael Jackson, and she charmed Coach Sarah Geronimo with her beautiful voice and incredible showmanship. According to Sarah, Mommy Eva  has the passion and willingness to learn more.

This Saturday and Sunday, August 17 and 18, 2013 would be the last Battle Rounds of “The Voice of the Philippines,” and already Twitter is abuzz about the upcoming showdown between Team Apl, Team Sarah, Team Lea and Team Bamboo.

For Team Bamboo, John Duka and Myk Perez would face each other in the ‘ring.” Team Lea will have Marissa Saroca pitting her talent against Radha. Team Apl has Jessica Corpuz and Cora dela Cruz facing off one another, while Team Sarah will have Gab Ramos, Rouxette Swinton and Klarisse de Guzman in a triple showdown.
