The winner of “The Voice” Season 2 is Jermaine Paul, who defeated Juliet Simms, one of the favorites to win the season.
“The Voice” is an American reality singing contest just like American Idol and had premiered April 26, 2011 on NBC.
“The Voice” on NBC has been considered as a close rival to American Idol on Fox.
The vocal coaches and judges for “The Voice” are Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera, while American Idol has Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson, and Steven Tyler.
Jermaine Paul received $100,000 cash prize and a recording contract with Universal Republic Records. Jermaine sang “I Believe I Can Fly,” while Juliet Simms sang “Free Bird.”
