V Breaks Records with Layover Album

V, also known as Kim Taehyung, has broken music records with his solo album, Layover. V is the latest BTS member to release an album amid the military enlistment of the other members.

To date, here are the record-breaking achievements of V’s Layover Album.

3. Layover by Kim Taehyung has reached an amazing feat of gaining 300 million streams in just 10 days. Hence, he broke the record of the fastest K-pop idol to reach that milestone
4. The Layover album has gained more than 2 million streams on its first day, granting V the title of the K-pop soloist with an album that has more than 2 million streams, together with bandmates RM and AgustD.
5. Slow Dancing debuted at #11 on Spotify’s Global Chart
6. Layover became the biggest debut album by a K-pop soloist on Spotify Korea, Spotify India, Spotify Vietnam, and Spotify Egypt.

1. Slow Dancing won in the weekly Melon Music Awards.
2. V is the 4th Korean soloist to gain more than 2 million streams on Melon

2. All tracks of V’s album Layover have debuted inside the Top 16 of the charts.

1. V has 4 songs that debuted at #1 on the chart.
2. V is now the 5th Korean act with the most songs to debut on the renowned chart.

V breaks the record of the first solo artist in K-pop history to surpass 2 million sales, and thus he was accorded the title – the Double Million Seller artist.

V, together with BTS bandmates, Jimin and AgustD, were ranked at #2, and now they hold the title of “The Korean Soloists with the Highest Charting Albums of All Time” on the Billboard 200 Chart.
