Clive Palmer, an Australian billionaire, plans to build a Titanic replica or a Titanic II. This was reported by international news sites, April 30, 2012.
Clive Palmer wants to replicate the original Titanic’s design with modern technology so it would no longer sink, like the RMS Titanic, which sank a hundred years ago, on April 15, 1912. There were more than a thousand people killed and scores injured, making it the worst maritime accident of the century during peacetime.
Reportedly, CSC Jinling Shipyard has an understanding with Clive Palmer to start building Titanic II this year’s end. Hopefully, the luxury cruiser would be ready for its planned maiden journey in 2016.
