The Philippine Azkals Won against Mongolia, 2-0 in the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup Qualification Playoffs

The Philippine Azkals won against Mongolia, 2-0 in an impressive display of skills and power to win the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup qualification playoff at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod, Philippines.

Emelio Caligdong and Philip James Placer Younghusband scored one each, leading the Philippine Azkals to a spectacular win amidst the thunderous applause of thousands of football fans.

Caligdong, 28, is with the Philippine Air Force, while Younghusband, 23, is of Filipino-English descent and plays for the Philippine National Team.

When Caligdong scored, he proudly raised both hands and ran around the stadium, in acknowledgement of the fans that were jubilant of his success.

Younghusband was also wildly cheered by the audience and hugged by exultant team members.

The Azkals team has long been admired by football fans because of outstanding games during the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup last 2010.
