Manny Pacquiao has won against Timothy Bradley at the MGM, Las Vegas on April 12, 2014 in part 2 of their boxing bout. Bradley has admitted that “Pacquiao is a true champion.”
Before the fight, Bradley kept taunting Pacquiao that he lost the killer instinct, and that for Pacquiao to win, he has to knock him out. After the fight, however, he congratulated Team Pacquiao and has all praises for Pacquiao. Bradley stated at the post-boxing conference:
“I have no excuses tonight. Pacquiao is the better man tonight… Manny Pacquiao is a true champion…I have much respect for him and his team.”
Boxing fans cheered for him for his sportsmanship. He ended saying he will go back to the gym and train again to win another world title.
Sports aficionados agreed that Manny Pacquiao has still the “fire” that made him the boxing superstar that he was and still is. It was a brilliant and intelligent fight by the Pacman, against the younger and hungry Bradley.
During the early rounds, Bradley has tried to dominate the fight, but as the fight went on, Pacquiao has, clearly, the advantage. The audience was predominantly in pro-Pacquiao and there were wild cheers when Pacquiao demonstrated his power punches’ power into Bradley’s face and body.
It was a unanimous decision by the judges 118-110, 116-112, and 116-112 for Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao landed 198 out of 563 punches, while Bradley landed 141 out of 627. Pacquiao landed 148 power shots out of 344, while Bradley landed 109 power shots out of 344 shots.
Fans flooded Twitter with their congratulatory tweets, and boxing fans all over the world joined Filipinos in their celebration for Manny Pacman Pacquiao’s victory against Desert Storm Timothy Bradley.
Would Floyd Mayweather Jr. be next? He should stop running away and face Pacquiao, if he truly thinks he is the true champion.
