Jessica Sanchez, the American Idol runner-up, has reportedly said that she will stay after the American Idol Live Tour in Manila, for some commercial endorsements.
The 17 year-old “Swaggernaut” has thousands of fans in the Philippines because she has Filipino blood, her mother coming from Bataan, a province north of Manila.
Jessica Sanchez arrived in Manila together with her family, her boyfriend, DeAndre Brackensick, Skylar Laine, Phillip Phillips, Joshua Ledet, Heejun Han and DeAndre’s mother. Jessica and DeAndre’s mother seem to hit it off pretty well.
Filipino fans are excited to watch Jessica Sanchez perform “Change Nothing,” her original song, and her version of “Proud Mary,” and “How Come You Don’t Call Me Anymore.”
Phillip Phillips’ “Volcano” is also much awaited, together with his coronation song “Home.” “Home” went more than platinum already with the song selling more than 500,000 copies. The song has been featured in a Clint Eastwood movie and was also the theme song of the “Fabulous Five” American gymnasts.
Joshua Ledet, Top 3 of the American Idol, would sing his much applauded song, “It’s a Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World.”
Joshua and DeAndre sang as back-up singers for Jessica’s performance of “Proud Mary.”
