The American Idol Season XIII singing competition will premiere on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 with a new panel of judges, namely: Harry Connick, Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban. Jennifer and Keith are returning judges, but it is the first time that Harry is involved with the show as judge-mentor.
Jennifer Lopez was a judge for two seasons of American Idol, in 2011 and 2012, while Keith Urban was a judge in 2013.
Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban were considered as the best judges during their previous stints, and, apparently, management agreed, thus, their return to American Idol. Former judge Randy Jackson would make a comeback as an American Idol adviser, and Ryan Seacrest remains as the TV host.
The names of those who made it through, with the classic statement: “You’re going to Hollywood,” were revealed and TV audience would now have the chance to vote for their favorites.
There are some changes to the format and voting on the American Idol season XIII show, so check back for updates later.
