Jessica & Joshua’s duet, “I Knew You Were Waiting For Me” got a standing ovation from the three Season 11 American Idol judges; Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, last Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
The duet of Joshua & Jessica had viewers buzzing online too, saying it was well deserved, reports say. The two singers had ‘perfect chemistry’ and complemented each other’s voice and movement.
After the performance, most of the viewers agreed with Jennifer Lopez that it might be Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet in the finals of the American Idol Season 11.
Numerous Twitter users applauded the duet.
One said ‘Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet – They deserved that standing ovation. Best duet of the night!’

The song, “I Knew You Were Waiting for Me”, was originally sung by Aretha Franklin and George Michael. Although Jessica did not earn a standing ovation for her solo performance, she still had a standing ovation for her duet with Joshua Ledet.
Steven Tyler said about their performance: “It defies judging. Only to be enjoyed. That was so fine.”
Randy Jackson commented: “This is one of the greatest performances I’ve seen on this show. They definitely gotta have it. You guys are ready.”
Jennifer Lopez said: ‘It is a dream pairing,” adding that she was thinking of the finals. This implies that Lopez believed they could both be in the AI Finals.

JESSICA SANCHEZ is the total package!!! Her vocal range is Fantastic!!! She has that awesome slow low melodic tone, a very good mid range and various types of upper registers where she can belt out the highest note. She also has a beautiful unique gritty growl and phenomenal unique vibrato. She has perfect pitch in the low, middle and upper registers where it slices like a knife on butter….if you can even see that visual. She is also very versatile that can sing different genres of music from upbeat dance songs, ballad, urban soul, gospel, rap, pop and r&b. I have a feeling she can even do rock. She can also some of the greatest artists songs out there. She’s got the looks and style, a clean cut personality and very good stage presence. She is simply PHENOMENAL!!!
